RAJASTHAN CM HAS INAUGURATED THE MEDICAL PROJECT RAHAT FOR THE
TREATMENT OF HEART DISEASE:

Vasundhara Raj, the chief Minister of the
Rajasthan state, inaugurated the Rajasthan Heart Attack Treatment program
(RAHAT) in Jaipur.
·
This program mainly aims to provide the
treatment to the people in the remote and rural areas.
·
Under this program, the health patients are
immediately allowed to get the ambulance services.
MUMBAI NAMED RICHEST INDIAN CITY AS PER THE NEW WORLD WEALTH REPORT:
·
As per the New World Wealth Report, Mumbai has
been named as the Richest Indian city with a total wealth of $ 820 billion.
·
New World Wealth, the South Africa-based
Market Research Group, has confirmed that the Mumbai is the landmark to 46,000
millionaires and 28 billionaires.
INDIA TO REMAIN FASTEST GROWING ECONOMY AMONG G-20 NATIONS:

As per the Moody’s Investors Service report,
it is clear that the despite of the demonetization India will continue to be
the fastest growing economy among G-20 countries in 2017.

According to the Modest Acceleration in the
Global Economy, but Shifting US Policies Inject Uncertainty’, India is expected
to have the fastest-growing economy among all G-20 countries with the growth
rate at 7.1% for 2017.
INDIAN RAILWAYS UNVEILS ANTYODAYA EXPRESS:

Indian Railways has unveiled Antyodaya
Express, a new train for the unreserved passengers.
·
It was unveiled by Union Railway Minister
Suresh Prabhu in New Delhi’s Safdarjang station.
·
The first Antyodaya Express is slated to start
between Mumbai (Maharashtra) and Tatanagar (Jharkhand) and second between
Ernakulam and Howrah.
INDIA SIGNS $375 MN LOAN PACT WITH ADB FOR INDUSTRIAL CORRIDOR:
·
The Government of India and the Asian
Development Bank signed a 375-million-dollar loans and grants in New Delhi to
develop 800-km Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor.
·
The project is the 1st phase of a planned
2,500–kilometer long East Coast Economic Corridor having total cost of 846
million dollars.
·
The Corridor will enhance development in
eastern coast in line with the government’s ‘Make in India’ policy to boost
manufacturing by attractingforeign investment and facilitating the
establishment of manufacturinghubs.
AYUSH MINISTER INAUGURATES THE WORLD INTEGRATED MEDICINE FORUM ON
REGULATION OF HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE IN NEW DELHI:

Shripad Yesso Naik, The Minister of State
(I/C) for AYUSH inaugurated the World Integrated Medicine Forum on Regulation
of Homeopathic Medicinal Products: National and Global strategies in New Delhi.
PM NARENDRA MODI INAUGURATES 112-FOOT SHIVA STATUE IN COIMBATORE:

On the occasion of Mahashivratri, PM Narendra
Modi unveiled a 112-feet-tall Lord Shiva statue at Isha Foundation in
Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
·
The statue has been funded by The Isha
Foundation and constructed by a team of engineers and designers of the
foundation in foothills of Velliangiri mountains in the Western Ghats.
·
PM Modi also released the book ‘Adiyoga: The
source of Yoga’, which deals with yogic sciences.
INDIA SIGNS MOU WITH BANGLADESH TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OF
TAKA 240 MN FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SYLHET CITY:

India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding
with Bangladesh to provide financial assistance to Bangladesh for the sustainable
development of Sylhet, a north-eastern Bangladeshi city.
·
Under the MoU three development projects would
be taken up in Sylhet.
·
The MoU was signed between Enamul Habib, CEO
of Sylhet City Corporation, Shah Md Aminul Haque, Additional Secretary of the Economic
Relations Division and Indian High Commissioner in Sylhet, Harsh Vardhan
Shringla.
INDIA BAGS ALL THREE MEDALS AT 6TH ASIAN PARA-ROAD CYCLING
CHAMPIONSHIP:

India made historic start at the sixth Asian
Para-Road Cycling Championship by winning all the 3 medals in the 12.8 Km
Individual Time Trial on the opening day of the tournament at Bahrain.
·
Abhishek from Chandigarh won the gold medal,
Divij Shah from West Bengal won silver and Harinder Singh from BSF bagged the
bronze medal.
INDIA’S 1ST HILL STATION BICYCLE ONLY PATH IN DARJEELING:
·
Darjeeling has opened the country’s first hill
station bicycle path, with views of the world’s highest mountains as cycling
grows in popularity among Indians.
·
Darjeeling is reportedly the first hill
station in the country to get such a trail, and it is a welcome escape from
India’s diesel-belching vehicles and tooting horns.
·
It is a 20km cycle only trail at an altitude
of over 2,000 metres, with thick pine forest under clear blue skies. In the
distance the third-highest mountain in the world, Kanchenjunga can be seen. It
runs through Senchal wildlife sanctuary, one of India’s oldest nature reserves.
SCHOOL BUSES MUST HAVE CCTVS, GPS, SPEED GOVERNORS: CBSE
·
School buses will now have to be equipped with
GPS, CCTV arrangements and speed governors as per the revised guidelines issued
by the CBSE to ensure greater safety of children.
·
These guidelines have been issued on the
directions of Human Resource Development minister Prakash Javadekarafter a
recent school bus accident in Uttar Pradesh,
·
Windows of the bus should be fitted with
horizontal grills with mesh wires. School buses should be fitted with speed
governors with maximum speed limit of 40 km/h.
·
GPS and CCTV arrangement should be made
compulsorily in each vehicle and should be in working condition all the time.
·
The management and the head of the school will
be held responsible for any lapse and it could lead to disaffiliation too.
School buses will have to be fitted with alarm bells and sirens.
